On 27 July 2018, the “Kamenjak” Public Institution for the Management of Protected Natural Values in the Medulin Municipality Area, together with its partners, the Medulin Municipality and Istria County, signed a grant agreement for the implementation of activities under the project “ORKA – Sustainable development of the significant landscape of Lower Kamenjak and the Medulin Archipelago (KK.06.1.2.02.0043)” with the Ministry of Regional Development and EU Funds (MRDEUF) of the Republic of Croatia and the Central Finance and Contracting Agency (CFCA).
The project includes a series of activities aimed at improving the management of the significant landscape of Lower Kamenjak and the Medulin Archipelago in accordance with the principles of natural development, so as to ensure undisturbed natural processes.
In addition to improving the visitor tracking system, enriching the attraction base with a presentation of the natural heritage, and modernising the entry points, the project will increase the level of environmental protection by introducing a better waste management system.
